We had a fantastic experience at this homestay in Thekkady! the location was perfect, right next to the jungle and just a short walk from the bus stop. the owner and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful, organizing activities for us and answering all our questions. the rooms were clean and cozy, and waking up to monkeys on the balcony was a unique experience. It's definitely a great place for those who appreciate nature and a friendly atmosphere.
The common areas could use a little tidying up.

The whole place was clean and the bedroom was pretty nice. The location was great and stunning very close to periyar wildlife sanctuary, Periyar Tiger Reserve and market, and the bus station, and had everything you needed. In fact, it was located to the busstation of the Park.

I recently stayed at Jungleparadiso in Thekkady for a few nights and had a wonderful time. The host, Ajumal, was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable. He even helped us arrange a tour of the area. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, although we did have to grab an extra mattress from the spare couch outside. The location of the hotel is perfect, with a peaceful setting right next to the jungle. We even saw a giant squirrel from our balcony! There is a great local restaurant called Coconut Cafe nearby, where we enjoyed delicious home-cooked food. Ajumal's son, Asif, was also very helpful during our check-in process. I highly recommend Jungleparadiso for a unique and enjoyable stay.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Clean and cozy rooms with comfortable beds - a welcome change from other budget options. Located right next to the national park - offering a peaceful and scenic environment with monkeys in the treetops. The owner - who has extensive experience in the forest department - provided valuable local insights and guided us in planning our short stay.

The staff at this budget hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to help us book a trip to a nearby tiger reserve, and they didn't charge any additional fees for the service. the room we stayed in was nice and clean, and the large bathroom had good lighting. the location of the hotel was great, overlooking the jungle and providing a relaxing and authentic ambience.
The wifi in two of the rooms was not working properly, which was a bit inconvenient. Another issue was that in one of the rooms, the hot water pressure in the shower was not enough.

For the price we paid, we got excellent value for our money. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the jungle. The location was perfect - just a short walk or rickshaw ride from the main bus station/town center, but right on the edge of the jungle, so we got the exciting experience of seeing friendly monkeys passing by. The staff, especially the owner, were incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, maybe by adding more variety or options.

Title: Perfect Family Getaway. Our family had an amazing time at Jungleparadiso Homestay. The serene and natural surroundings made our stay truly memorable. The warm hospitality of the hosts, combined with their knowledge of the area, ensured that our family had a great time exploring Thekkady. The spacious and well-maintained rooms provided us with the perfect comfort after a long day of activities. The highlight for our children was spotting monkeys playing around in the trees and on the balcony. It was a truly magical experience for them.
For dads, it would be great to have some outdoor play area for the children.

The value for money at this homestay was excellent, with a simple and basic room that was suitable for a short stay. The location was nice, away from the noise of the town, and the staff, especially Ajmal, were friendly and helpful.
The morning meal could have been improved with more variety or options.

Friendly owner, helpful and knowledgeable about wildlife. Good location near main road and bus station, with balcony facing jungle. Close to Coconut Cafe for local food. Owner's son was helpful during check-in. Visited nearby national park and saw a variety of birds and animals.

The upgraded room was sick and we felt like celebs on vacation. The host Ajumal knew all the juicy deets about Ayurveda and Yoga, and we were so fascinated. Plus, the location was on point, with a short walk to the main road and close to the Coconut Cafe for some bomb food. it was an epic trip and we can't wait to go back!
The only thing we would ask for is a better party scene. We wanted to turn up and have some wild nights, but the place was more chill and suited for relaxation.
